A B O U T M E
My name is Katarina, passionate traveler providing helpful travel tips for people with limited vacation time.
I always cover most favorite tourist attractions of the country I am in. Before I go I usually spend hours of reading reviews on Tripadvisor. If you don't want to waste your time with doing research keep up with this website full of top travel tips based on my knowledge and personal experience.
There are so many amazing travel blogs but unfortunately many of them have such a complicated website that you can't even find the articles for a place that you are searching for, that's why I summarize all you need to know under its destination.
#1 Question I Get Asked. How Can I Afford to Travel?
I think there are three options to do it but all of them require very hard work and sacrifices. There is no magic way to instantly earn lots of money traveling.
First option is to find job in travel industry, for example working on large cruise ships or working as a flight attendant. Food, accommodation and transportation are usually covered. If you are solo traveler and don't mind busy schedules this might be suitable for you but it can get kinda lonely and stressful.
Second option is to be a backpacker, you wander from place to place without coming or having home and do alternative travel jobs such as working on a farm or doing volunteer work for charitable organizations for free accommodation and food in exchange for services. In this case you need to lower your usual living standard and you need a strong back :-) for that giant backpack.
I am in third option which is a part-time traveler. That means you travel for weekend city breaks, short getaways and sometimes longer holidays. This option is popular for people who can't stay for extended periods at a time, who usually live at home, have career, mortgage and family but still have on a priority list getting to know different cultures and seeing a lot of the world. The advantage is that you get to share all those amazing experiences with people you love which makes even better memories. But since you have only a specific time have to squeeze in many places into small amount of time which require a lot of planning ahead.
It seems like the most expensive option but can be affordable for most of people if you follow my travel tips. In this case you need to travel more often because you can't stay couple consecutive months. Which means you will spend more money on flight tickets but you will save on accommodation due to short stay. I don't mind flying low-cost airlines to get the cheapest flights but I stay in comfortable clean apartments, 3*, 4* or 5* hotels with high ratings based on good location. I like to spend money smartly and always look for best value for money since I have a nine-to-five job to pay for it. I also invest in crypto on Binance and Coinbase (register through this link to earn free 10 USD) . It is never too late to start, make small investment of 100 USD whenever you can and soon you will have enough money for your first trip.
I never travel with tour operators, not that it just saves the money, it also makes it easier to adjust the schedule to your current needs. Instead of guides I use audio guides which you can pause or skip if you are not interested. If something catches your attention you can stay longer without slowing down the group. Every touristic sight has nowadays locals who will tell you interesting facts for a small tip.
#2 Question I Get Asked. Are your itineraries suitable for kids or older people?
Yes, though it's not customized especially for children or older people. Even when I don't have my own kids yet I traveled to most of places with two children so my itineraries are easy and don't require fitness skills. If you want to make the best out of it cover everything I advised and add some fun parks or more rest between activities.
